Why We Put an Adjustable Waist on a Little Black Dress (and Why No One Else Does)

We call the Louise the perfect little black dress for a lot of reasons, but the one that really sets ours apart is the adjustable waist.

We designed it because we needed it, our friends needed it, and we genuinely couldn't find it anywhere else. That classic, simple, cute little mini, cut with the structure and fit just right, almost never leaves room for the functional details. Other brands could add them, they just don't. So we did. To us, a dress you can wear anywhere had to come with the option to adjust the waist, because women's bodies change. Daily, weekly, monthly, sometimes hourly.

Some mornings you want to feel super snatched and want the dress to fit perfectly tight at the waist. Then a big lunch happens, or the bloat rolls in, and suddenly you want a little more room. Both versions of you deserve to be able to wear the same dress.

We know what it's like to gain weight, lose it, gain it back, maybe do that a few more times, and have to buy new clothes every single time. That's rough on the planet, rough on your wallet, and kind of discouraging on top of it. This dress adjusts as you need it instead, no matter what kind of day you're having.
